Talking About Wedding Planning

Hello everyone, I'm Selma Marshall. I would like to share my knowledge about wedding planning on this site. The wedding planning process often starts out slow with the selection of the decorations and venue. From there, the date seems to arrive faster and faster as the bride and groom pick their outfits to wear at the altar. Picking the outfits for the wedding party often proves even more difficult, especially when dealing with a number of different personalities and preferences. I would like to talk about ways to streamline the wedding planning process without upping stress levels. I hope you can use the information I provide to plan the wedding of your dreams.

Should You Buck Tradition With A Wedding Ceremony In The Round?

by Diane Roux

Are you looking for a creative and unique wedding ceremony idea? Then look no further than a ceremony in the round. What is this ceremony style? What are its pros and cons? Here's a short guide to one of the most memorable wedding layouts you can choose.

What Is a Ceremony In the Round?

Taking their name from a theater style, ceremonies in the round shift the ceremony from the front of the audience to its center. Start by installing the actual ceremony spot with the couple and officiant in the center of the available space. Audience chairs are then placed in neat circular rows leading outward from all four sides, with breaks for aisles. Alternatively, a spiral shape is even more fun but more complicated.

What Are the Pros of a Ceremony in the Round?

Certainly, this layout is most known for its aesthetic. It turns the traditional seating plan on its ear and creates a very memorable wedding day for all.

However, beyond the visuals, many people find the round seating layout more intimate and personal. More guests have a better, closer view of the ceremony and therefore feel more invested. They can often hear and see better. And because guests form the background of your photos, they are more involved. Their expressions and joy are the canvas for your photos.

What Are the Cons of Ceremonies in the Round?

As much as they add to the big day, ceremonies in the round aren't without their challenges. This is not a simple layout to design if you're unfamiliar with using it. Setting out two neat, straight sections of chairs with an aisle in the center is easy for anyone. Spirals and circles take more planning and work. You must also plan aisles and access more carefully.

However, the biggest hesitation often comes from the fact that the guests will often be in all the pictures of the ceremony. The couple and their photographers or videographers cannot completely control the background. The couple also cannot use a traditional backdrop because it blocks the views of some in the audience. The end result may be more personal, but the aesthetics are different.
