Talking About Wedding Planning

Hello everyone, I'm Selma Marshall. I would like to share my knowledge about wedding planning on this site. The wedding planning process often starts out slow with the selection of the decorations and venue. From there, the date seems to arrive faster and faster as the bride and groom pick their outfits to wear at the altar. Picking the outfits for the wedding party often proves even more difficult, especially when dealing with a number of different personalities and preferences. I would like to talk about ways to streamline the wedding planning process without upping stress levels. I hope you can use the information I provide to plan the wedding of your dreams.

Corporate Catering Ideas For A Holiday Brunch

by Diane Roux

With the holiday season approaching, you may want to do something festive for your staff. Instead of having an after-hours holiday party, consider hosting a holiday brunch instead. Here are some ideas to consider as you work with your caterer to create a jolly and merry menu.

Holiday Cookie Buffet

One of the best parts of the holidays is all of the sweet baked goods that are served for dessert. Consider creating a holiday cookie or dessert buffet filled with classic favorites, including Yule logs, gingerbread cookies, and sugar cookies. Have small dessert plates in red and green ready for your staff, and serve mugs of hot chocolate or milk to go with this sweet brunch option.

Holiday Breakfast Sandwiches

Work with your caterer to create breakfast sandwiches using the meats typically reserved for holiday dinner. Think roast beef, honey-glazed ham, and roast turkey, all served on croissants or English muffins. Your catering team can work on flavor combinations and toppings to make these sandwiches a fun and tasty addition to your menu. Consider serving some traditional sweet sides to go with them, such as cranberry sauce or candied yams. Have some vegetarian options available as well, such as egg and cheese sandwiches or avocado toast, as part of your menu offering.

Bagel Bar

A bagel buffet offers both a traditional brunch menu option while also celebrating one of the season's holidays. Put out a spread of different types of bagels, and include cream cheese, lox, and red onions for traditional toppings. Have some unique topping options available as well so your staff can make their own custom brunch creations. Some options might include fresh fruit, sliced tomatoes, or deli meat. You can also have your caterer create a few flavored cream cheese options for a finishing touch to this area of your brunch buffet.

Red, Green, And Gold Salad Bar

Have a bit of fun with your holiday theme by offering a salad bar featuring only red, green, and gold vegetables. Spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, and squash are just a few options you can use in this part of your brunch buffet. Work with your caterer to create a unique presentation to celebrate the holiday colors, and choose silver or white bowls to let the veggies stand out during serving.

Talk to your staff about any must-have menu items they would like at the party, and partner with a catering company like THE COOK AND THE DRUMMER to create a delicious holiday brunch for your office.
