Talking About Wedding Planning

Hello everyone, I'm Selma Marshall. I would like to share my knowledge about wedding planning on this site. The wedding planning process often starts out slow with the selection of the decorations and venue. From there, the date seems to arrive faster and faster as the bride and groom pick their outfits to wear at the altar. Picking the outfits for the wedding party often proves even more difficult, especially when dealing with a number of different personalities and preferences. I would like to talk about ways to streamline the wedding planning process without upping stress levels. I hope you can use the information I provide to plan the wedding of your dreams.

Setting The Scene For A Perfect Wedding: How To Use Furniture Rentals In Your Venue

by Diane Roux

When planning your wedding day, you may want to make your wedding venue look unique. One way to create the perfect setting for your wedding is to choose beautiful wedding furniture rentals. You can use rented furniture to create special spaces your guests can enjoy at your event. Here are a few ideas to consider as you put the finishing touches on your big day.

Cocktail Hour Area

If you are planning to have a cocktail hour at your wedding, why not create a nightclub feel in part of the venue? You can do this with modern sofas and chaises, which you can rent from a number of wedding furniture suppliers. Opt for crisp white sofas with colored throw pillows for a modern look, or choose vintage-inspired pieces for a retro furniture. Be sure to add coffee and side tables to complete the seating area Once you have the furniture picked out, work with the wedding venue to create a special lighting concept for this area, and use long pieces of tulle hung from the ceiling to set the cocktail area off from the rest of your venue space.

Family Tents

For outdoor weddings, consider adding a few small tents to the perimeter of your event area, and furnish them to create quiet areas families with small children can get away from some of the noise. You can place rented sofas or loveseats in this space, which provide comfort for nursing mothers or toddlers who want to take a nap. Consider renting a crib or two for your tiniest guests, and put some toys in each tent for a welcome distraction from all of the adult events of the day.

Wedding Party Dais

Instead of simply having a head table, consider creating a dais for the wedding party instead. This stage area can be raised off of the ground to give you a better view of your guests, and it can create a regal focal point in the room. Consider adding throne-style seats for the bride and groom, and add elegant rental chairs for the rest of the party. You can also add sofas for additional seating in front of the dais, so your wedding party can mingle with guests in between courses at dinner. Consider hanging sheer curtains behind the stage area, and work with the venue or your DJ to add colorful lights under the curtains to complete this look.

Ask your wedding planner for additional ideas you can use to create unique spaces in your venue for you and your guests using wedding furniture rentals.
